Noemata - An Alterhuman Zine
What are noemata, and how do I begin to catalogue mine?
This zine provides an explanation of what the term noemata means in alterhuman contexts, and discusses what can be done to talk about your own situation.
Included are reading suggestions, process examples, and lists of questions that cover planetary bodies, environments, organisms, cultures, and languages.
In this zine, I reference two other zines: Introversal and reConlanging.

Marvelous, open-ended, exploratory, fruitful.
And the design just oozes an uncanny textbook credibility. Sleek!
This is wonderful! My favorite line is, "Through the power of hubris and fixation, all things are possible." It's a beautiful encouragement to be curious and expand your worldview, outside the scope of "getting things right", but also speaking to the value of trying out new ideas and knowledges. I'm not sure conlanging/conworlding is specifically relevant to the nature of my alterhuman experiences, but this does have me thinking about ways real-world research could inform my sense of self. I'll keep you posted on any projects/ideas that grow out of that!
While directed primarily at alterhumans, I find this zine to be a real treasure trove of resources regarding speculative biology, conlanguing, and other worldbuilding tips. The zine walks the reader through various aspects of a world and asks what that may imply about the rest, WHILE also giving out recommendations of books about language or anthropology or biology or whatever else to help you. Def a rec!
